Smoothie Bowl

Good afternoon everyone. I'd just like to start off by saying how IN LOVE i am with smoothie bowl. They are literally just like ice cream, except 10x better and 100% healthy. I don't know where you can go wrong with that? I would chose a fruity smoothie bowl over dairy/sugar filled ice cream any day. And the best part is; they are so simple? They only take about 5-10 minutes to take, and then you can indulge in that thick, creamy, fruity goodness.

1. To make this, start off by cutting up fruit such as bananas, strawberries, and blueberries.
2. Stick them in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours prior to making your smoothie bowl.
3. Once they're frozen, put the SOME of fruit in a blender, preferably a magic bullet
4. Add 1 tbsp. of Greek yogurt
5. It will take a while to blend because the fruit is frozen, but be patient.
6. Once the first half is blended, add the rest of your frozen fruit in.
7. Since half of it is already blended, the second half will blend more smoothly.
8. Add another 1 tbsp. of Greek yogurt
9. Blend
10. When you're done, your smoothie should be a thick, creamy texture, and will look like the top photo
11. Pour it into a bowl, using a spoon to scrape the extra smoothie off of the side.
12. Add granola and fresh fruit.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Craving something sweet, but want something healthy? Well this Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is perfect, and starts your day off with tons of potassium and protein.

I recently made a trip to Whole Foods where I purchased some cacao. I've never tried it before, but I've heard great things about it, and how it's the healthy version of cocoa. So after buying it, I had this wonderful idea for a smoothie - A chocolate peanut butter smoothie.

I know what you’re thinking – how can chocolate AND peanut butter together, be healthy for me? Well, let me tell you how through this simple recipe.
1.       A minimum of 4 hours before you make this smoothie, cut up 3 bananas and 2 strawberries, and freeze them.
2.       Once it’s time, get all your ingredients out in front of you. You’re going to need: the frozen fruit, spinach, peanut butter, greek yogurt, and cacao powder.
3.       First is the peanut butter layer. In your blender, add 1 and ½ bananas.
4.       Add 2 tbsp of peanut butter
5.       Add 1 tbsp of greek yogurt
6.       Blend until it’s thick and creamy
7.       Pour it into a bowl or cup and stick it in the freezer while you make the chocolate layer.
8.       For the chocolate layer, add in 1 and ½ bananas, and 2 strawberries
9.       Add 2 tsp of greek yogurt
10.   Add 1 tbsp of peanut butter
11.   Add 2 tsp of cacao powder
12.   Add 1 handful of spinach
13.   Blend until it’s thick and creamy.
14.   Next step is to take the peanut butter smoothie out of the freezer.
15.   You then pour in the peanut butter layer, then the chocolate layer, then finish with the peanut butter layer.
And Wa la, there you have it! A completely healthy, ALMOST vegan, packed with potassium and protein, chocolate and peanut butter smoothie! A fabulous start to your morning.
*If you are vegan, just don’t add the greek yogurt, and substitute it for regular or chocolate almond milk!

Quest Bars

Hey guys! So I've heard a lot about quest bars lately, and the hype was pretty big, so I decided to order some! Let me just start off by saying that they are amazing! Not only are they gluten free, they are also sugar free, and high in protein. This is the best nutrition bar I've had yet, and it is so delicious! What I do is, bake it in the oven for only 5 minutes at 350, and it tastes warm and soft like a real fudge brownie; but this is healthy, and you can eat it guilt free!

I just loved this quest bar, and hopefully i'm going to get some new flavours to try out soon! If you want to get some, search for the nearest one in your town because that's probably the cheapest option. If you don't have any near by, you'll probably have to order some online so do it off of Iherb.com or the Quest nutrition website, but they probably won't be too cheap.

Good luck, and I hope you try them soon!
